Breville Tea Maker brews and steeps automatically for different types of tea, eliminating the guesswork of water temperature and brew time. It heats water to an ideal temperature while lowering and lifting the tea basket at appropriate times for precise infusion of tea. It comes with pre-programmed one touch functionalities to create ideal brewing conditions for Black, Green, White, Herbal and Oolong teas. You can also preset the strength of the brew - strong, mild or medium with a touch of the button. Besides the preset mode, you can brew using custom parameters for target temperature and steep time and can use it as a variable-temperature electric kettle. The ‘Basket Cycle’ Feature continuously auto lifts and lowers the Basket during the tea brewing cycle. This movement loosens the tea leaves within the Basket, allowing the heated water to circulate freely around the tea leaves for maximum infusion. Further, it includes Auto Start and Keep Warm functions. Just set the timer and wake up to your favorite brew, steeped and waiting for you. And the keep warm function will automatically keep your tea warm for up to 60 minutes, which can be activated before, during, or on completion of the brewing cycle. Crafted from quality German glass, with sections of stainless steel, this tea maker provides for an elegant, modern look that looks at home in any kitchen. How to use this tea maker?
- Fill the glass jug with the desired amount of water (1200mL TEA MAX) and place on the Power Base.
- Add tea leaves in the basket and assemble it over the glass jug.
- Close the lid and ensure it is locked firmly into place.
- Select from 5 preset tea types recommended for optimal brewing. Also features a customizable tea type temperature setting.
- Select the desired tea strength to determine brewing time. It can also be customized to suit your personal taste.
- Use the Basket Cycle feature which allows the heated water to circulate freely around the tea leaves for maximum infusion.
- Press the KEEP WARM button before, during, or after completion of the tea brewing or water heating cycle.
Care and Use:
- The ‘BREW TIME’ can be adjusted during the heating process, but ‘BREW TEMP’ cannot be changed once the heating cycle commences.
- After each use, empty the glass jug. Do not allow brewed tea to stand overnight.
- Wash the jug lid in warm soapy water with a soft sponge, rinse and dry thoroughly. Alternatively, the jug lid is dishwasher safe.
- The integrated scale filter can be cleaned by placing under running hot water and rubbing with a cleaning cloth or brush.
- Never immerse the kettle base, switch area, power base, power cord or power plug in water.
- Do not use alkaline, abrasive cleaners, pads or hard scratchy materials.
